The most activity could occur Sunday, then again Tuesday into Wednesday.Tornadoes, damaging thunderstorm winds and hail are all possible.Severe thunderstorms, including the threat of tornadoes, will rumble across parts of the central and southern U.S. this weekend and into the middle of next week as a more active weather pattern takes shape over the country.
This severe weather threat will occur in two rounds due to a pair of upper-level disturbances in the jet stream.The first of these will pivot into the Plains this weekend. A second, stronger plunge of the jet stream will swing out into the Plains Tuesday through Wednesday.
