Good explainer! I have read that ERCOT is still not taking global warming into account when predicting future power needs. Is that a factor in how we got here, or just in where we are going from here?

Disappointing. Not one word about the ultimate solution to this problem: nuclear, and lots of it. As in dozens of Comanche Peak-capacity units but with modernized technology and secure, onsite 'waste' storage. Texas consumers are paying steeply for this failure of foresight.
