WATCH: KayleeDMcGhee says Democrats expect to lose House, Senate is 'race to watch'

The Washington Examiner's Kaylee McGhee White explained Tuesday that many Democrats, with the notable exception of Speaker Nancy Pelosi , expect to lose the House of Representatives in the midterm elections. Further, she says the Senate is the"race to watch" in several states with close matchups.

"The Senate is definitely going to be the race to watch in several states, not just Pennsylvania — in Arizona, in Georgia, in Nevada, there are really some pretty contested races that could go one way or the other," she told host Neil Cavuto on Fox Business."Pennsylvania is interesting simply because of how close the race has become in the past few weeks," White said."That is largely driven by concerns about Fetterman’s health.

Previously, the race between Republican Mehmet Oz and Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman was rated as leaning Democrat, but on Tuesday, it shifted to a toss-up, according to the Cook Political Report. On Monday evening, Pelosi predicted on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, “I believe that we will hold the House.” However, her sentiment is not shared by many."Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer disagrees with Nancy Pelosi," claimed White."He was overheard having a private conversation just a couple weeks ago predicting that Democrats would lose the House. So it seems like that is the most common prediction, even among the Democrats at this point.
