So, if you’re excited to both see the newest adaptation of the Roald Dahl novel and, well, you don’t have to do a double feature on the weekend of the 16th. The big news is that the live-actionmovie, originally slated for April 16, 2021, has moved up to December 23, 2020. That’s just five days after Warner Bros.
will be the first of a planned two-part adaptation of Frank Herbert’s groundbreaking/trendsetting 1965 sci-fi novel. Directed by Denis Villeneuve and penned by Villeneuve, Eric Roth and Jon Spaihts, the film stars apparently everyone in Hollywood except for you and me, including Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa and Javier Bardem.
ScottMendelson I'm optimistic about Dune... I've gotten through the first three books and I am about to start 'God Emperor' I enjoyed the ScFi miniseries, and if this can be pulled off, it could be a great film franchise.
As long as dune isn't like the first dune movie and more like sci-fi's miniseries, I wouldn't think dune would dissapoint.
We made fun of the first Dune and it bombed. Why is there another?
