The girlfriend, a 46-year-old Eastlake resident, mumbled unintelligibly to police. She was unable to sit up. A half-empty bottle of liquor was on the table in front of her.Police then learned the man’s true identity and recognized him from previous encounters. He was taken to North Royalton jail.A Cleveland girl, 17, was arrested at about 2 a.m. May 12 after police caught her riding on the back of a motorized bicycle past curfew.
The driver identified himself as a 19-year-old Berea man. He apologized for not having turned on his headlight. The bike driver was holding the girl’s cell phone. Police told him to call her parents. They talked to her father, who arrived at the scene to identify his daughter. The vandalism was reported at about 9 a.m. May 10. The damaged trees were directly east of Parkview Commons on South Rocky River Drive.
