NATHANIEL FRAZIER For the Eagle It’s easy to describe what the Wallace Govs did to the Bishop State Wildcats Friday afternoon.
The Govs really poured it on in game two, winning 16-0 in five innings. Dewey Brock pitched four of the five innings, while Colton Dorsey pitched the final inning. The only reason Dorsey pitched the last inning was to give him some work since he is coming off an injury. The Govs put up crooked numbers in each inning they scored. Six runs were scored in the second inning and eight more in the third. The game couldn’t end at that point because the two teams hadn’t played the required five innings. Since they had to bat again, the Govs added two more in the bottom of the fourth.
From there Jordan took over. In pitching his complete game, Jordan struck out seven, allowed four hits and didn’t walk a single batter.,
