Welcome to Athlete of the Week where we look to honor student-athletes each week during high school sports seasons.
Each week, the Express-News staff will select athletes competing in high school sports — and then turn voting over to the fans. Voting will begin Tuesday afternoon and close Thursday at 11:59 p.m. Winners will be announced each Friday around noon.
