Do we care about the Venezuelan people as much as we do their oil? Did we do or say anything when right-wing dictatorships were massacreeing tens of thousands of their citizens in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, El Salvador, Guatemala?
Obviously the US has been working to destabilize Venezuela, to make their'economy scream' since the day Chavez was elected. It's what we always do in order to protect US investments when it looks as though they could be nationalized.
Are you trying to make it look like only the army is loyal to Maduro? Many of the poor still are. They know a conversative government will do exactly nothing for them - as always.
