A car crashed into the High Rail Brewing Co on Main St in High Bridge on Friday afternoon, June 24, 2022. Hunterdon County Technical Rescue Task Force responded to secure the building and remove the vehicle.A 67-year-old man crashed into a local brewing company’s taproom in High Bridge on Friday and suffered only minor injuries, officials said.
“It looks like it was mechanical failure, the contributing factor,” said High Bridge Police Department Chief Brett Bartman. The car entered the brewery’s taproom and struck a support beam, as well as tables, chairs, and equipment. The taproom “sustained extensive damage” but, “luckily, this happened 30 minutes before opening and no guests were injured in the accident,” the company wrote.
