USWNT Rips USSF After Equal Pay Mediation Breaks Down, 'They Won't Succeed'

Equal pay mediation between the U.S. Women's national team and the U.S. Soccer Federation has gotten UGLY ... and now the dispute is likely heading to court.

Remember, the USWNT sued the Federation back in March for gender discrimination -- claiming, "The female players have been consistently paid less money than their male counterparts." The USWNT had agreed to meet with the USSF in New York City this week to discuss the heated issue ... but according to team spokesperson"We entered this week’s mediation with representatives of USSF full of hope," Levinson says."Today we must conclude these meetings sorely disappointed in the Federation’s determination to perpetuate fundamentally discriminatory workplace conditions and behavior.", fully intend to continue to compensate women players less than men.

It is not apples to apples. If Its a woman making less money than a man for the same job that both could or do hold as an employee then that’s an unjust equal pay disparity but in sports they’re neither generating the same revenue or competing directly with each other

how is this even a question.. the men's brought in over a billion dollars an the women's just over 100M. how is this equal?

according to Forbes, during their 4-years cycle (which is how they're measured), the women generated $131 Million. during their 4-year cycle, the men generated $6 Billion. the ladies might want to close that gap a bit if they want the same money as the men.

Men and women should have to pay viewers to watch the sport of boredom.

It’s simple your not as good as the men, you lost 5-2 to a under 15 men’s team in Dallas..Also men’s World Cup generates 6 billion, Woman’s World Cup 131 million..Do the math, of course they’d get paid more...

They would be lucky that anyone is stupid enough to pay for the shit product they produce

It's pretty simple...Pay the men less...Pay the women more. Meet in the middle. Net zero loss and now everyone is getting the same amount.
