The U.S. government says four huge dams on the Snake River in Washington state will not be removed to help endangered salmon migrate to the ocean.

Catch up on the developing stories making headlines.SPOKANE, Wash. -- The U.S. government announced Friday that four huge dams on the Snake River in Washington state will not be removed to help endangered salmon migrate to the ocean.

The plan calls for spilling more water over the dams at strategic times to help fish migrate faster to and from the ocean, a tactic that has already been in use. Todd True of Earthjustice called the plan “a slap in the face to Native American Tribes, rural fishing communities and anyone in the Northwest who cares about the future of our salmon, orcas and the economic well-being of our river and ocean communities.''

The four hydroelectric dams were built from the 1960s to the 1970s between Pasco and Pomeroy, Washington. Since then, salmon populations have plunged. The final report was similar to a draft plan issued in February, which concluded that removing the four dams would destabilize the power grid, increase overall greenhouse emissions and more than double the risk of regional power outages.

There goes more clean water and food supply...are they trying to kill us?..the nutrients in Salmon poop helps supply the water with enzymes which in turn keeps the water clean..the natural flow of water helps produce -ions which promotes health and well being.

It will always be industry over conservation with these people, who lose no sleep while orcas starve and die.

Yeah. About those damned dams. There’s a photo before the fire that matches eve the shoreline. What is rhe purpose of obstructing the river in four places. There is a better way to do it. And the answer was given to me before I even saw your news story.

What the fresh hell. Free the fish!!!

Animals lose again and in the end we lose.

That graphic was over me tonight. A quick rotation made it obvious. I’d let those decision makers know they are playing with fire and they’d better make allocations to please all parties. Finned or otherwise. Consider side channeling.

U.S. should not stand in way of U.N. chief naming new Libya envoy, Germany saysThe United States should not stop United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres from naming a new U.N. Libya envoy to replace Ghassan Salame who quit nearly five months ago, Germany's U.N. Ambassador Christoph Heusgen said on Thursday. Our Dicktator should be barred from all decisions, especially where other governments are concerned. He can't govern the US. That's the perfect example of his inadequacies and repulsiveness for the rest of the world to observe. Meh, boring read. not worth retweeting! Headline accuses US... Article doesn't mention anything on how US stood in the way of the UN chief naming of the new libya envoy. Germany alone alone support the Islamists and immigrants and the burden of the arrest and the terrorists and spyware journalists for dictatorial governments, such as the Islamic Republic of Iran, and in the United States, is it possible? 🤣🤣لغو_فوری_اعدام
