The British government will effectively ditch its air bridge plans and simply end the coronavirus quarantine rules for those arriving from 75 countries so that people can go on holiday, The Daily Telegraph reported.

The newspaper said the UK would shortly lift a ban on non-essential travel to nearly all EU destinations, the British territories including Bermuda and Gibraltar, and Turkey, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government has been grappling with how to open up international travel after it imposed a 2-week quarantine for arrivals, which has added to the woes of the shuttered tourism and travel industry.

Britain said on Friday that it would ditch a 14-day quarantine period for people arriving from countries such as France, Greece and Spain. Simon Clarke, a junior housing, communities and local government minister, said the government was working on an announcement on travel. “We will provide this announcement as soon as it is safe,” Clarke told Sky. “We will be talking further about this this week.”

“Clearly we want to get the tourism sector back on its feet as quickly as we can and I’m sure that we will be able to give good news in the near future,” he said.

California obliterates daily coronavirus record with more than 8,000 casesMonday's tally broke the state’s daily record for the third time in eight days and pushed the state closer to another grim milestone: 6,000 COVID-19 deaths. Time to stop the protests I guess. Yeah it’s not because of masked runners and it might have something to do with thousands and thousands of people in the streets screaming and yelling. Cases are up because everyone has it. Most are asymptomatic. It’s been around since last year so most of us have it. Mortality rates are dropping by the day. Hospitalizations are up because of nursing homes(again) and people being flown in from Mexico. Just sayin.

Friends Camping Out In Woods Just Happy To Escape The Daily Grind Of Federal PrisonCLEARVILLE, PA—Acknowledging that getting the chance to relax in nature was its own reward, a group of longtime friends camping out in the woods confirmed Wednesday that they were just happy to escape the daily grind of federal prison. “It sounds like the simplest thing in the world, but it’s unbelievably nice to sit by the lake and think your own thoughts for an afternoon without the rigid structure of penitentiary life,” said convict Jesse Howell, who like his friends claimed that sitting against a tree feeling the breeze in his hair was a nice change from the rat race of roll call, meals, and 15 minutes in the yard. “My pals and I have been planning a trip like this for five to seven years, so it’s nice to finally kick back and bask in the beauty of the natural world. Just look at all these stars—you can’t even see them back at The House, what with the light pollution and the 12 inches of reinforced concrete.” Howell added that despite their efforts to stay “off the grid,” their respite would probably only last a few more days before they were called back to address mundane concerns, such as the three guards they murdered while setting out. \n Bruh Wilson... is on fire!
