European voters have viewed the Brexit process so negatively that even EU-skeptic parties have mostly dropped talk of leaving the bloc or the euro

As Britain’s vote launches the country’s exit from the European Union into a new and difficult phase, the bloc is cementing a top goal: Halting more EU defections.

The bruising 3½-year Brexit process has been so negatively viewed by European voters that even EU-skeptic parties on the Continent have mostly dropped talk of leaving the bloc or the euro. Instead, nationalist politicians such as Italy’s Matteo Salvini and France’s Marine Le Pen now speak of changing the EU from within while reassuring voters that their countries...

Boris will have to choose the US or EU as their main trading partner in 2020. Both won't be an option.

DylanRatigan Great propaganda WSJ. Keep up the good work.

I don’t understand the headline... Is it saying that people in Belgium who don’t like the EU are saying that it’s too much trouble to leave or “Brexit”, so they’ll just make their own lives easier and forget about ever leaving the EU? Or is it saying the opposite?

The Brits has the luxury of sovereign currency, their continental counterpart member states don't - can you imagine Italy try the same but losing Euro at the same time?

No you're lying.

If the consequence will be that the UK economy will flourish. Then there will be a different tune in the debate.

The British are different from the Continentals. They will argue and spat, but will eventually make up their minds. Can you imagine the French, or the Greeks, being able to do the same

Not so.

The EU is anticipating its headache when hegotiating trade, customs, financial regulations and people mobility with Boris Johnson. Britain must realise once and for all that since the end of WW2 its days of world power are gone.

Sounds like you’re only talking to EU officials. The various news stories seem to indicate some unrest.

That’s exactly what the EU wants it’s members to think...

DylanRatigan That has always been the number one goal of the EU since the Brexit decision was made. They need to do whatever they can to inflict maximum pain on the UK and it’s people or the entire EU jig would be up in months.

Brexit is a hoax.

DylanRatigan Totally, exactly like when 'Merica declared independence. Never happened again!

The Continentials don’t have a very good political track record. They took a wrong turn around 133BC and still haven’t gotten back on track.

Yay bureaucratic strangulation!

What the U.K. Election Does (and Doesn’t) Teach Democrats'Now more than ever, opponents of rightwing nationalism must resist the temptation to project the clarity of our moral convictions onto empirical questions of political reality' This is dumb. Do better. Don’t be represented by spineless, ultra left zealots that embrace terrorists and dictators. Corbyn was a putz and Labour should have ditched him. He was wildly unpopular. In the UK, classism is still deeply ingrained, along with a deep hatred of anything that smacks of communism.
