A little before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man who appeared to be homeless walked into the Target store, grabbed a butcher knife from a shelf, and began stabbing people, police said.A 9-year-old boy and a woman in her mid-20s were injured during the attack.
The boy tried to leave the area when the suspect, “without any further provocation,” stabbed the boy in the back left shoulder, Moore said. The woman fell to the ground after being stabbed, and several good Samaritans came to her aid, pulling her inside a nearby pharmacy and closing the gate in an effort to ensure the attack would not continue, Moore said.
