Officers responded to the crash at 11:20 a.m. and shut down several lanes of I-70, the department posted on X.
After the larger truck changed lanes, the driver struck the buffer vehicle, then went forward and struck a second truck and two contract roadside workers. The driver stayed at the scene and was cited with careless driving. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors and investigators are looking into speed as a factor in the crash, Rose said.
