Christanio Soto, 21 of Seguin, was charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the killing of Maekalyn Ann Marie Smith on April 4.Seguin police have arrested two people and have an arrest warrant for a third in connection with a shooting that left a teenage girl dead this week.
Sahra Vega and Christanio Soto, both 21 from Seguin, were in the vehicle used in the shooting that killed 18-year-old Maekalyn Ann Marie Smith and wounded another 18-year-old on April 4. Vega and Soto were apprehended Wednesday night after Seguin police conducted a traffic stop at around 6:30 p.m.Arrest warrant were obtained for the three suspects for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of murder.
Police were called to the 600 block of North Vaughan Avenue on Monday for shots fired in the area. When they arrived they found Smith with multiple gunshot wounds.A second teen was also shot and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
