Patty Murray of Washington, ranking Democrat on the Education Committee, said the agency needs to be trusted to make decisions based on scientific evidence, “not on President Trump’s Twitter outbursts.”
“A choice of two days per week in the classroom is not a choice at all,” she said, according to audio of the call with governors obtained by The Associated Press.
What would really be helpful is an in-depth analysis of best practices around the globe on safe & effective strategies that have proven to work for K-12, present these to a panel of education policy experts & classroom teachers, and then have a debate on what is 'practical.'
