Trump suggests Lincoln's legacy is 'questionable,' brags about his own work for Black Americans

President Donald Trump said that while President Abraham Lincoln — who freed Blacks from slavery during the Civil War while also saving the Union — did some good, the "end result" is "always questionable."

Trump's interview came nearly three weeks after the death of a black man, George Floyd, after a white Minneapolis cop kneeled on his neck for more than eight minutes ignited protests nationwide. Trump's bizarre comment about his fellow Republican came during an interview with Fox News' Harris Faulkner, in which the president saidany other president, with the possible exception of Lincoln.

What is ignorantly trying to deflect responsibility

I watched the interview. Trump was being honest. Questionable refers to the end result. Could have we just freed the slaves without so much bloodshed and war in the end? That’s what he’s trying to say.

How can he compare his record to Lincoln. Lincoln freed them from slavery, gave the voting rights, encourage blacks to run for congress. He could of done more, but he was assassinated.

He's saying the 'results were questionable' the results were the abolition of slavery and defeat of the south. He's questioning abolition. It's not exactly subtle.

Trump has done a lot more for Black America than even abama did.

No one on earth believes that Obama is a republican. Obama would have 0 chance to be a US president if he were a republican. Republicans have treated the African origins not thing more than ___. Trump is the liar, and he has been lying all his life to support his family.
