President Donald Trump has selected an option for withdrawing U.S. military personnel from Germany and redeploying those forces elsewhere, the Pentagon announced Tuesday night.

When I was a youngster, Germany was a sought after peaceful deployment, one of the pros of joining. Sending Americans to Europe to NOT fight is a good thing. Its a poor kid’s travel opportunity. Nobody else sees this?

These troops were installed there after WWII and their presence was arguably necessary until the end of the Cold War. At this point, Germany is reunified, wealthy, and more than capable enough to defend itself. If they want us there, they could pay their fair share to us or NATO.
