Washington State Patrol has confirmed a trooper was killed in a crash on southbound I-5 early Saturday morning. The crash has since been cleared and southbound I-5 is now back open. The trooper was struck just before 3 a.m. near 136th Street N. Law enforcement has one suspect in custody related to this crash. I-5 was blocked for several hours as WSP investigated the crash. Traffic is now flowing normally in the area. WSP will hold a press conference on this incident later on Saturday.
