A very frustrating weekend of travel, which saw thousands of delays and cancelations nationwide, continued Monday as fliers heading through local airports experienced much of the same.
Additionally, 21 flights were delayed at John Wayne Airport, while Hollywood/Burbank Airport had two cancelations and seven delays. Long Beach Airport reported just five flights delayed. The cancelations can be attributed to both airline staffing shortages and severe weather in portions of the United States.
Why are people traveling by air, within the continental U.S. in the first place, when travel by rail or bus is readily available?
