Todd Packer will host 'The Office' trivia night in San Antonio

“I hate Todd Packer ” is the best compliment David Koechner gets for his portrayal of the wildly offensive traveling salesman he played on “ The Office .” “When people say online 'I hate Todd Packer ,' I did my job,” Koechner said in a telephone interview. The NBC sitcom ended in 2013. For the past three years or so, Koechner has revived the Packer persona from time to time for trivia nights. He will be kicking off his three-night run at the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club with that show.

” Koechner has a slew of other credits, including voice work on “American Dad” and a series of “Captain Underpants” specials, as well as roles in a bunch of movies, including “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” and “Thank You for Smoking.” But people who recognize him usually know him for either Todd Packer or Champ Kind, the sports anchor in “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” and the sequel.
