gordonkeith Jimi, is still top of my alltime fav list along w/ Clapton, Bramhall 2, Trower, & Page. Insane... so young Truly the day the music died. A creative genius, a pioneer and a unique person. Nobody plays a Strat quite like Jimi. I enjoy listening to some of the most technically accomplished, jaw dropping rock guitar virtuosos. But Hendrix' music still sounds amazing to me fifty years on.

Jimi Hendrix is the greatest and best electric guitarist that ever lived. No one comes close. I love that man. A real brutha with soul J_Baker_69 I remember this. Can’t believe it was 50 years ago. At the time it was devastating. 50 years ago, half a century ago! today. Jimi Hendrix died. God bless him. A big inspiration his music has been in my life since I was a kid in 1980's, first finding Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) in my Dad's record collection. My love grew from there.
