The “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” Tina Turner, is reportedly being laid to rest at a private funeral ceremony, according to several European news outlets.

FILE - Tina Turner performs at New York's Madison Square Garden on Aug. 1, 1985. Turner, the unstoppable singer and stage performer, died Tuesday, after a long illness at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland, according to her manager. She was 83.

Reports indicate that Turner’s funeral will be a private service attended only by close family and friends in Switzerland. She requested to be cremated, according to her personal assistant. Turner died on May 24 from natural causes at age 83. She wanted to be cremated and I expect it to be a small, very private affair. I am sure there will be some kind of memorial concert and tribute later,” said Turner’s personal assistant Eddy Hampton “Armani” in one
