More than 6,300 customers are without power as of 6 p.m. The counties reporting the highest outages are Crawford, Franklin and Muskingum counties.
Crawford County is reporting just under 3,000, Franklin County is reporting more than 1,800 without power and Muskingum County is reporting more than 630.The main window for storms will be until around 6 p.m. and the main threats will be damaging winds and large hail. There is a small chance the storms may produce isolated tornadoes.
Storms move out after sunset as temperatures drop. We are looking dry and cool overnight with milder temps on the way Thursday. Put together an emergency kit that includes non-perishable food, water, flashlights, batteries, a radio, first aid kit, medications, portable chargers, extra cash and maps of the surrounding area. Limbs, leaves and other objects moved by the wind and ice build-up could hide downed wires. Investigate your surroundings before trying to clean up any debris.
