It is always a really special day when the last pair sneaks up on you, and a bathing suit needs to stand in as a substitution. In an effort to avoid leaving the house, I found myself prolonging time between washes like never before.

They arrived a few days later, in a big pack that made me nostalgic for the small packs of Hanes underwear my mom used to buy for me as a child. I was attracted to how simple these were, especially during a time that has been anything but: there was no lace, no bows, no fancy cut. This underwear provides nearly full coverage, but because it is considered “bikini,” it allows for enough cheekiness that makes your bum look like stone fruit. There is no itchy tag in the back because the “Amazon Essentials” logo is printed under the back waistband which is so laughably unsexy. That might just be my favorite part of them.
