On Saturday, the official royal family Instagram account shared a touching tribute to the late royal. The post included a picture of, his wife of 73 years, along with a sweet quote from the Queen's speech marking the couple's 50th wedding anniversary.
"He has, quite simply, been my strength and stay all these years, and I, and his whole family, and this and many other countries, owe him a debt greater than he would ever claim, or we shall ever know," the Queen said in the excerpt from the speech shared in the caption of the photo. The accompanying photo in the post was taken five years ago by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz and shows the Queen and Philip posing side-by-side in coordinating pink shirts for an official portrait.
