ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia—It took less than six minutes to deepen one of the gravest crises in the history of Boeing Co.
At 8:37 a.m. on March 10, Captain Yared Getachew and First Officer Ahmed Nur Mohammed were accelerating an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX along runway 07R of Addis Ababa’s highland airport.

Would have been a shocker if that wasn’t the case. Incredibly sad that these ppl died so unnecessarily. Completely preventable. Hearts and prayers with the victims and their families. So the plane has 2 AoA probes, but only uses input from one at a time into it's Air Data Computer. So if the one it's using malfunctions, the plane thinks it's stalling and pitches nose down. How about use both AoA probes, for redundancy/reliability?
