The Dead Don’t Hurt Trailer Sets Release Date for Viggo Mortensen Western

, a Western film written, directed, and starring Viggo Mortensen, will release later this year in theaters.

The film is set to release on May 31, 2024, in theaters nationwide. Alongside Mortensen, the Western also stars Vicky Krieps , Sally McLeod , Garret Dillahunt , Colin Morgan , Ray McKinnon , W. Earl Brown , newcomer Atlas Green, and Danny Hutson . The movie was written and will be directed by Mortensen, who made his directorial debut with 2020’s Falling.“The Dead Don’t Hurt is a story of star-crossed lovers on the western U.S. frontier in the 1860s,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “Vivienne Le Coudy is a fiercely independent woman who embarks on a relationship with Danish immigrant Holger Olsen .
