Just after 2 p.m., Phoenix police officers were called to an apartment complex near 45th Avenue and Thomas Road for a shooting

PHOENIX — A 17-year-old male is dead and two others are injured after a shooting in west Phoenix Monday.

. When officers arrived they located a man, identified as a suspect, in the middle of the complex with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, according to police. Inside a nearby apartment, a juvenile female and a juvenile male were found suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The girl, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital for what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.Investigators believe the shooting started with the man confronting the victim about a disagreement. The argument led to a fight which prompted an exchange of gunfire.

Once the suspect is released from the hospital, police say he will be booked into jail on multiple charges. The suspect's name hasn't been released.
