US Supreme Court rules that the parents of a 15-year-old boy cannot sue the federal agent who shot him by firing across the border separating the US and Mexico — a case that inflamed tensions over border security.

The teen, a Mexican national, was playing with three friends in the cement culvert that separates the two cities. They dared each other to cross the unmarked border, run up and touch the fence on the U.S. side, then run back to the Mexican side.

An investigation by American authorities concluded that Mesa fired in self-defense in response to smugglers throwing rocks at him, though it found no evidence that Hernandez threw anything at the agent. Writing for the Supreme Court's five-member conservative majority, Justice Samuel Alito said the court would not extend the reach of federal law into claims against U.S. law enforcement actions that have effects in other countries.

doesn't this mean any hacking done across countries are international incidents and require diplomatic solutions, not legal ones? So like, Assange isn't legally bound to any american laws when he released sensitive US government information and the US has no case for extradition?

So basically a Mexican as long as he is in Mexican soil can shoot across the border and kill an American in US soil and get away with it as well? I'm confused.

Supreme Court just committed murder and their happy about it. What a complete waste of humanity these Justice's are.

Wrong Decision.

Kids playing people! Just playing. An one ends up dead with a shot at 60 feet to the back of his head.

Wow, It took 10 years for this ruling...... smh
