A divided Supreme Court ruled that U.S. Border Patrol agents cannot be held liable for damages for shooting people on the Mexico side of the southern U.S. border

The court, in a 5-4 opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito, disallowed a lawsuit seeking damages against agent Jesus Mesa Jr., who fired shots in 2010 that fatally struck teenager Sergio Hernandez in the face as he was standing on the Mexico side of the border.

Better watch out with this one. Bullets travel north as easily as south

WTF

Ridiculously weak (and partisan) ruling by SCOTUS. If the bullet had struck and killed anyone on the US side, it would have been a crime. Because of INTENT. A crime was committed and now we absolve it for political reasons. Sad. And tragic.

Well, it's sort of like Gitmo. What happens outside the USA border stays outside the USA border. The Court has now virtually approved the torture of prisoners recounted in The Report and at all those black sites. My Lai? No problem. Didn't happen in Texas.

People people do some research. Poor countries wouldn’t be able to test these people. Think outside the box for once and for yourself and stop following your cult leaders. The CDC/Who said it would take at least at 18 months. You don’t know if they have it already. It’s everywher

Officers are barely held accountable when they shoot citizens in the US

Ok then...waiting for the day Mexican border agents pop off a few American border agents.

This is very bad.

Does that apply if Mexico shoots People on the American side of the Border?

It's open season on Mexicans, send Donnie Jr to the border, we don't need no wall!

'nah we are killing another human being but is mexican soo....' those divided in court no longer have a heart, no longer are humans.

Very simple shoot them back

Mexican boarder patrol agents protecting their own Southern border do the exact same, if not worse when Central Americans and South Americans attempt to cross into their country. Also inexcusable, but shut-up, everyone virtue signaling.

Trump2020: Open Season!

The supreme Court is no different than the crooks in the Trump administration

the racism you are supporting so strongly growing more obvious by the day....just sayin' .....FoxTV has consumed you and we all can see it....

Pathetic

So would not be liable for straight up murder?

doesn't matter tho, right WSJ? the guy was 'brown' and a sub human and the goal is to take us back to a majority white, superior race country, right? so all readers should be happy, right?

Okay, then no one should extradite to America from now on

Shame on the USA

Supreme Court to Consider Religious Rights Case Involving Same-Sex CouplesThe Supreme Court said it would consider the city of Philadelphia’s decision to exclude a Catholic organization from its foster-care program because the group indicated it wouldn’t work with same-sex couples as foster parents. Catholic Churches should be excluded from anything involving children. Period. 'sorry little Johnny, we can't let you be adopted into this family because they are not ideologically pure enough. I guess the foster care system will have to do.' So they are not recognaizing religious rights at all. Ah! Where is the democracy.
