McKellar claims he showed up to Ball Arena for Game 3 last Friday and made friends with nearly everybody around him right away.
But, he says when he started lightheartedly joking with two Nuggets fans toward the end of the game ... that's when things turned contentious. "These guys are walking past me and obviously they didn't think it was funny," McKellar said."Meanwhile the whole crowd that I made friends with, initially they were laughing, having a good time."McKellar says the two Nuggets fans then got in his face, talked smack, flaunted money at him ... and then tugged on his jersey and poured beer on him."Instincts of self-defense kick in," McKellar says.
