Although summer is the time to relax and enjoy time off for most, these young athletes are working hard to prepare for their next football season.

HOUSTON, Texas -- In Texas, we like to say there are two seasons: football season and getting ready for football season.

During the summer, when most high school-aged kids are relaxing and taking time off, high school football players in our area are working."Workout and lift weights. Go to camps, and all of that," Hastings offensive lineman Tristen Shandy said. "We know in Texas we have the best brand of football, and there is a reason for that, our kids take it seriously and prepare for it year-round. It's just our culture here. There's a reason we are producing the top players in the nation every year," West said.

Work to repair collapsed I-295 wall could start this summerEngineers have begun designing a replacement for the retaining wall on a stretch of the highway in Camden County. Since it started I've graduated college, met a woman who I eventually married and had a baby boy with. He is now 4 years old. Say what you will but my son will finish college before this project is done. This work has been going on for decades and will never finish. Job security and tax draining the citizens should be investigated.
