A new Star Wars theory suggests Emperor Palpatine used Luke Skywalker's Last Jedi Force power to recruit his Imperial Inquisitors. Recruited from the ranks of the Jedi Order, the Inquisitors placed under Darth Vader's command were corrupted to the dark side by Palpatine himself. However, the exact origins of the Inquisitors are somewhat vague, including how Palpatine was able to recruit so many dark side agents during the events of the Clone Wars right under the Jedi Council's nose.

This included Count Dooku, Palpatine's Sith apprentice during the events of Attack of the Clones and the subsequent Clone Wars era. As such, it stands to reason that Dooku might have learned this ability from Emperor Palpatine who in turn may have used Force projection to his great advantage as a secret Sith Lord while publicly serving as the Republic's Supreme Chancellor.
