'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker': The awesome final trailer is here

Published 9:56 PM EDT Oct 21, 2019This is some galactic history decades in the making, folks: The final trailer for the final movie in the 42-year Skywalker saga is here.

With less than two months before the release of"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" , fans got a look during ESPN's"Monday Night Football" at what's to come in the latest trilogy closer featuring Daisy Ridley's heroic lightsaber jockey Rey, John Boyega's Stormtrooper-turned-rebel Finn, Oscar Isaac's Resistance flyboy Poe Dameron and the late Carrie Fisher's General Leia in her last appearance.

And the trailer has plenty to unpack, from huge fleets of starships readying for war , a voiceover appearance from none other than Emperor Palpatine and a seriously wet confrontation between Rey and Adam Driver's Kylo Ren, the evil First Order's hotheaded new Supreme Leader. "The Rise of Skywalker" returns an old favorite in original trilogy star Billy Dee Williams' cool gambling pilot Lando Calrissian

plus debuts a host of new characters including Naomi Ackie's fresh-faced warrior Jannah, Keri Russell's mysterious masked bounty hunter Zorii Bliss and Richard E. Grant's First Order Allegiant General Pryde.

And I'm sure it's terrible .

When Disney decided to ditch the Expanded Universe it ruined it for me.

There had better be a really good explanation of how the Emperor survived falling down a seemingly endless pit on the Death Star.Did I mention that same Death Star exploded moments later?The Emperor being alive cheapens the ending of Return of the Jedi + strains all credibility

Well that was a joke. Look like those spoilers might be right. It's look like a RotJ 2.0. Sooner this shit show is over the better. If I trusted them to any future movies right that is. StarWars The EU will always be my StarWars, not the Disney era.

I haven’t seen one since return of the Jedi.
