The Washington State Transportation Commission says, according to state law, toll rates on the SR-520 Bridge need to keep up with the state’s financial obligations, while also keeping travel times, speed and reliability of the thoroughfare.The State Treasurer determined in Dec. 2023 that current toll rates aren’t going to cut it by July 2025.Toll rates are going to be increased by 10% starting in Summer 2024.
