'Squad' Democrats blast Elon Musk over immigration policy claim

Several major Democrats, including members of the “Squad,” blasted X owner Elon Musk Thursday after he shared a post criticizing Democratic immigration policy.

Earlier that day, Musk reposted a news article claiming “President Joe Biden is currently considering granting amnesty to illegal migrants.” Reacting to the news, Musk grilled Democratic immigration policy,The comment sparked a firestorm among several major Democratic leaders who responded to the post by pointing out Musk’s South African heritage.She later added “and for everyone saying ‘yeah, but legal!!’ may I once again remind you that seeking asylum is legal, too.

In the replies to her response, Rep. Omar engaged a commenter who called for her to support voter identification requirements so green card holders can’t register to vote.. “Convicts and noncitizens are flagged in the system, please stop spreading propaganda and false information about our country election system that is one of the most secure in the world.

Though Musk did not respond to these replies directly, he later shared a post by the House Judiciary Committee accusing the Biden administration of using airplanes to fly migrants into the country to clean up the appearance of the border.
