The Star Trek universe is home to many fascinating, high-tech devices, such as the transporter and warp drive. The franchise has also spotlighted a number of powerful weapons, and in Star Trek: Day of Blood: Shaxs’ Best Day #1, as the titular officer fights his way through hordes of rabid Klingons, he encounters the franchise’s first-ever mecha.

Along the way, he fights off fanatical Red Path members. As he nears the ship, a Klingon attacks him with a battle suit, which he calls an “honorable war suit.” The suit closely resembles a mecha.Star Trek's Tech Is Futuristic, But Still Grounded In The Real World In Shaxs’ Best Day, the Klingon mecha-warrior attacks Shaxs and tosses the Bajoran around. The Klingon then goes for the kill, drawing out a giant sword he calls the “mecha-bat’leth.
