Snow and clouds obscure the view from the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter Park City, Monday, Feb. 5, 2024. More snow and cold temperatures are in the forecast for Park City this week.
A “cold, unsettled pattern will continue through midweek across much of the region,” according to the weather service, bringing “significant northern mountain snow accumulations.” As much as 8-18 inches are expected in the Wasatch Mountains and the western Uintas, where the winter storm warning continues until noon on Tuesday. The affected area includes Alta, Brighton, Mantua, Logan Summit, the Mirror Lake Highway and Moon Lake.
A high of 55 is expected on Monday — 14 degrees below normal for this time of year — with an overnight low of 40. But it will get colder in the next couple of days: a high of 49 and an overnight low of 37 on Tuesday, and 52/38 on Wednesday. Temperatures will begin warming after that: 62/43 on Thursday; 68/47 on Friday; and 72/51 on Saturday, a degree higher than normal for that date.
