They can arrest a child for That. But these Bullies can get away with Hurting People. This is just sick. He is only doing what he is taught at Home

The Pledge shouldn’t be part of the school day anyway.

People, come on! So much wasted police time! Isn’t there some REAL criminals that need to be persued?

True_Attendant Clearly he is the only one who knows what it stands for.

how did the “adults” let this escalate into something?

Only in America. What is this thing with locking up children , for gods sake wake up to yourselves

Umm, huh?

That’s pathetic. 🙄 Thankfully, there aren’t any real criminals who need catching! 🙄😡👎🏻

Now there’s a teacher who knows how to handle a crisis. 😂

Don’t like it, go get your welfare, free lunch, and free education elsewhere.

since Florida

Who read this article?

Dear Florida, just start over

Can you idiots read He was arrested for making threats and disrupting class and not obeys the officer when told to leave. Not for not saying the pledge.

Nazi tactics.

Arrested? Where were the principal & vice principal? Isn't it their job to protect students' rights & to discipline students when necessary (detention, counseling, parent conference, suspension)? Have they relinquished control of their school to community police officers?

Ridiculous.

better response like old school would have been call the father before authorities. then let said father 'counsel' the miscreant in a janitor closet. the spoiled thing disrupted orderly function of an institution, potentially endangering other students, you know, the good kids.

I wish I would get arrested for not pledging a man made flag

The school was fine with him not reciting the pledge, but he wanted to make a scene and act out like an idiot..

You cannot make a student say the pledge. Illegal.

The kid was a brat and his mom always sides with him.

That so-called teacher should’ve been locked up

Can the Trump Youth be far away?

This doesn’t seem like something that needs punishment, but even so, maybe start with detention? Is that still a thing?

If a bunch of adults weren’t able to circumvent this from resulting in an arrest then none of them have any business working with kids. This is such an asinine blip.

Ridiculous

No one should be arrested for saying that stupid pledge.. I haven't for 45+ years. I don't stand for the anthem. I told my son when he was in school that he didn't have to say or stand.. No one blinked an eye... This child is my hero..

Liberals need to quit indoctrinating the children! This crap is getting out of control!

You have to make sure people know their place early, or they grow up to fight back.

'resisting without violence' = thinking for one's self

Why did this have to escalate? It's the fucking pledge. It doesn't mean a damn thing. Who gives a shit?

As a black man, done my research. The narrative that Trump is somehow racist against black folks is the most absurd claim ever. Trump was always hanging around black people. Give me one billionaire/millionaire who hang/ed around blacks. Trump was a friggin hip hop NY democrat

Where's the ACLU, this is a clear violation of his civil rights. That's like arresting Kaepernick7 for kneeling during the anthem?! kyleruggles proviewsusa woKEnancy burberryant PattiKimble ShellyRKirchoff CapaTosta122 SherryisToots

Intentionally misleading .... thought this pointed out yesterday. Guess it really is intentional. Like that moniker FakeNews?

'This boy is in league with Colin Kaepernick and they deserve life sentences for attempting to subvert our democracy and our very way of life.' -- Some right wing moron somewhere

A substitute teacher no less. Where are the adults in all of this?

No he was arrested for assaulting his teacher. This is fakenews. Stop encouraging young men to punch their teachers it’s disgusting

Arrested?

Good thing Trump's jack booted thugs stepped in.

Florida 🙄 WTH is wrong with that state? Lead in the water? Lack of decent education? Rampant racism? Too much FoxNews ?

A sixth grader in Florida was arrested after his teacher told him to go back to Africa There, I fixed it for you

Wth?

They found the lady who called it in

What's that now?

Blame the parents, so called

This is outrageous

So so many bigger issues than sixth grader expressing his rights

SAY, WHAT? Come on, now!!!!!!!!!

Does This Sixth Grader Deserve To Be Arrested?

The biggest bank merger since the crisis may herald moreThe merger of BB&T and SunTrust will create America's sixth-largest retail bank by assets JoshstraDaymus This is what Dodd-Frank has wrought. Beware the unintended consequences of massive regulatory actions. It's not size of banks that is worrisome, it's the rich compensation systems that motivate C-suite executives to abandon all ethical standards. Banks have been committing crimes decade after decade. They must be closely regulated. In 2008 banks nearly destroyed the world economy.

The Latest: Police: Aurora attacker shouldn't have owned gunAURORA, Ill. (AP) — The Latest on the mass shooting at a warehouse in Aurora, Illinois (all times local): Noon Police say the fired worker who killed five people at a warehouse in Aurora, Illinois, was able to buy the gun he used because an initial background check didn't catch that he had a prior felony conviction in Mississippi. Aurora police Chief Kristin Ziman said Saturday that Gary Martin was issued a firearm owner's identification card in January of 2014 after he passed the initial background check. She says he bought the Smith and Wesson .40-caliber handgun on March 11, 2014, and that his 1995 felony conviction for aggravated assault in Mississippi wasn't flagged until he applied for a concealed carry permit five days later. That application process includes vetting using a more rigorous digital fingerprinting system. Authorities say Martin fatally shot five Henry Pratt Co. workers and wounded a sixth and five police officers on Friday before officers killed him. But tell me more about how it's all those criminals with illegal guns and legal gun owners don't commit any crimes. I'll wait here. Should have built a wall around his house So, the gun laws didn’t work?
