San Francisco parking-control officers are pushing back against The City’s plans to ramp up parking-ticket enforcement next month, citing safety concerns.

Last week, the agency’s Board of Directors approved a budget that would close a gap of $12.7 million over the next two years. Increased parking fines have been tapped as a potential solution to address the deficit. “Some of these are outside of our control,” Adams said. “It’s not safe for us to be put in situations that we really can’t make any change with.”
