Ronnie Reed spoke to First Coast News after the officers who publicly exposed him during a strip search on a public street, were found in violation of policy.

Ronnie Reed is speaking out exclusively with First Coast News about how he feels now that JSO officers who publicly violated him have been reprimanded.The officers accused Reed of selling cocaine at a gas station on Sept., 9, 2022. In body camera footage, they can be seen unbuckling his pants and exposing him as they conduct a search.

"They manipulated me to put on handcuffs and they took advantage of me and I feel violated and I feel like what they got is not what they deserve," he said."I don’t think that’s fair," said Reed,"I couldn’t even imagine doing what they did to me and something like that happen what would happen to me so I don’t agree with that decision at all.

Also, it’s cushion and their cushion is not deserved because I am a part of the public that they’re supposed to protect and serve and they choose not to do it. And the other man that standing around choose not to be men they choose to be followers, and they should pay also," he said. As a brother, father and grandfather, Reed said he is trying to move on with his life, but he does have a message for the officers.their policy which states that strip searches are to be performed by corrections officers rather than police officers. They say that all police officers receive training concerning searches.
