The man in his late teens/early 20s was found with multiple gunshot wounds when officers responded, according to Jacksonville police, as another man was detained.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One person is dead, one is currently injured in critical condition, and another has been detained after two separate shootings in Jacksonville took place Tuesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.At approximately 11:15 p.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Labelle Street in reference to a man who had been shot, according to JSO's Sergeant Richardson.

Highfill says two individuals were involved in"some sort of dispute" when one of them was shot. He says first responders with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department arrived on scene to render life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene."Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit have responded and are conducting the investigation," Highfill said.

JSO says they believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no additional threat to the community. The sheriff's office did not release the identity of those involved in this incident either. However, Highfill says the other individual involved in the dispute is a man.
