In a dramatic turn with implications for major Hollywood studios, Scarlett Johansson filed a lawsuit against the Walt Disney Co.

This is a really dumb move by her. Firstly she is in danger of being blacklisted. secondly she is being very thoughtlesss about how the pandemic fucked up the entire industry. Disney had no choice to do what it did & she knows it.

..'She has no direct deal with Disney' Her contract with Marvel has no claim outside of their contract with Disney who are both the Parent Company & contracted distributors. How the distributor chooses best to market & sell a movie is their choice. She's lucky she got 20 million!

Jeez people, read the article and do a tiny bit of research. Movie was shot primarily in 2019 so the contract was signed before that. She got points for box office on a “wide theatrical release”. Disney then switched to theatrical and streaming release due to COVID.
Some of you obviously don't read the fine print. Yikes. Regardless of your personal thoughts on Scarlett, it's a contract. She's 100% in the right.

It wasn’t Disney+ it was China that cost her box office $$$. Yes, Disney broke their promise but I won’t go back to theaters yet & got the movie on Premiere Access. It was the only one I said I would pay for because it was special to me. Times are different, we all adjust.
Not a good look for her. Further justifies Hollywood doesn’t care about its audience. As things are getting worse, yet again, she should’ve issued a release saying she was grateful the movie going audience got to see it no matter how they did, but made clear she still needed pay.
