SAN JOSE — A call for help to a San Jose home Sunday afternoon ended with the discovery of a deceased woman and the arrest of her alleged killer, police said Monday.
Police officers were summoned at 12:33 p.m. to a home in the 500 block of Mill Pond Drive — near Curtner Avenue and Highway 87 — after someone called 911 to request medical attention and a police response. Officers arrived there to find a woman who was not breathing and had “signs of physical trauma,” and she was later pronounced dead at the home, according to a San Jose Police Department news release. Her name was not publicly released pending her formal identification and notification of her next of kin by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office. The office was closed Monday in recognition of Cesar Chavez Day.
Police did not identify this person, saying only that “the suspect will be identified at a later date.”Anyone with information for investigators can contact the SJPD homicide unit at 408-277-5283 or email Detective Sgt.
