San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich: ‘Do something’ about gun violence in Texas

“We’ve heard all the comments on television from some of our government officials about thoughts and prayers and condolences, and on and on and on,” Popovich said. “It’s the same statements after every massacre, exactly the same, and it never changes — and more children are dead, more teachers and more civilians dead.”, oftentimes after other mass shootings in Texas or around the country.

But in the years since those tragedies, Texas’ GOP leaders have not passed any laws that would restrict access to firearms, including assault rifles — the weapon of choice in all of those shootings. And Popovich said he’s had enough. “What the hell does that mean?” Popovich asked, after recounting Cruz’s comments. “We’re exceptional, all right. We’re exceptional because we’re the only country that’s killing our kids with all these damn guns.”

Yeah, so we will be disarmed when your Chinese masters invade.

his opinion matters about as much as his single vote in Texas–not very much. The people in Texas have spoken time and time again–We The People want our basic rights to gun ownership. Especially with the level of crime, we need effective means to be able to protect ourselves.

Do something about your sh*tty team.

He's a know-nothing Beto supporting lib, with a mouth full of emotional words but no common sense. To the GOP he's irate about guns, yet not as irate about Blacks being shot down daily in Democrat ran cities. He care not of Democrat policy that ignore criminals with guns.

“Do something” These people have no answers. They just use dead kids to advance a political agenda.

Every republican refusing to participate in action to try reduce mass shootings by weapons designed for wars - should be forced to see the children murdered by these weapons and come out and tell the public - yep , these weapons are ok for anyone to own .

GovAbbott is pointing an AR-15 in the face of Texas children. He has rendered law enforcement useless.
