San Antonio business owners impacted by ongoing city construction could get a financial lifeline from the city — grants of up to $35,000. To qualify for the city’s Small Business Construction Support grant program, businesses must be able to show that they lost revenue in 2023 compared to 2022. Only businesses located in eight construction zones in which construction started between June 2020 and February 2023 can apply.

Here’s forecast totals, timeline. The city has set aside $1.45 million for the grant program. The eight construction project areas are the Broadway Street Corridor, Bulverde Road Phase 1, Zona Cultural Streets, Gevers Drainage, South Presa, South Alamo Street, The Alamo and Bynum Avenue Phase 2.
