The Rustic at The Rim closes without notice, set to relocate due to ongoing construction

The beloved restaurant, bar, and music venue , has shut it's doors due to ongoing freeway construction. The Rustic , known for its indoor/outdoor music venue , farm-to-table cooking, and local beer selection, has permanently shut its doors at its location at The Rim.

A sign found at the door of the establishment says, however, that The Rusti will be back and better than ever once a new location is found. "With a vision to relocate, we are actively exploring new opportunities to bring The Rustic's authentic experience to an even more accessible and vibrant location," said The Rustic in a statement taped to the front door of their now-former location.

So, what caused this relocation? The Rustic claims that the ongoing freeway construction is to blame. "Due to the ongoing freeway construction affecting access during nights and weekends, we have made the strategic decision to close our current location," said The Rustic.Businesses across San Antonio have voiced their concerns that construction has negatively impacted their business, as customers don't have easy access to their locations as freeway construction continues.
