San Antonio chef Chris Jara will compete in the second season of Food Network's 'Summer Baking Championship,' which premieres May 13.

A San Antonio pastry chef will be showing off his skills in the kitchen on the newest season of Food Network ’s “ Summer Baking Championship .” Chef Chris Jara will compete against nine other bakers from across the country in the show’s second season, according to a news release from Warner Bros. Discovery .

Can’t wait to see us all on the screen!” This isn’t Jara’s first time on the small screen, however. The local chef was featured in the first season of Netflix’s “Sugar Rush” and the fourth season of Food Network’s “Holiday Wars.” Hosted by Jesse Palmer, the “Summer Baking Championship” will feature a range of unique challenges, “from mile-high berry pies to delectable dessert tacos,” the news release said.
